With the craft beer revolution marching on, Studio wanted to add their own contribution, but in a city still curiously lacking in their own brewery scene.
They wanted to create a brand that had the spirit of their contemporaries without taking itself too seriously, or coming across as unwelcoming to a community in Burnaby that is anything but big beards and fixie bikes.
Knowing their ambitions for regularly rotating beers and short-run one-offs, we focussed on a graphic system for the can designs that could be regularly updated or refreshed without losing its core identity. Through a combination of illustration styles, and a bold, rich palette, the Studio brand has become a distinctive aesthetic in the brewery scene through the Lower Mainland.
