We helped Columbia College develop a new brand strategy and graphic identity that would communicate their new vision as an organisation; and to elevate their status as an independently run, non-profit society.
The brand strategy looked to better communicate the fact that as a non-profit society, the college is run very differently to private institutions - where decisions are made by all faculty staff, to the sole benefit of their students. The idea of ‘Find Your Voice’ came from this notion of a democratic approach to education, but also programming at the college which helps international students build their new life in Canada, and find the confidence and clarity to build a future for themselves. A vibrant graphic identity with a distinct illustrative style helped build on this idea, adding more youth and international appeal to what was previously a more stilted and traditional-feeling aesthetic.
